Why CanLua uses Google Sign-In
CanLua uses Google Sign-In to let you select and authorize your Google account for the optional Google Drive backup and restore feature. You can use CanLua's core weighing features without signing in to Google.
Google Drive data requested
When you start a backup or restore, CanLua uses the Google Drive API to create or read canlua-backup.json in the private appDataFolder area for CanLua. The backup may contain weighing sessions, weighing tables, individual weight entries, and app settings.
CanLua requests access only to its app-specific Drive data area. It does not read all files in your Google Drive, and it does not access Gmail or Google Calendar. Backup and restore occur only after you request them in the app.
